The history of embroidery comes to life thanks to the exhibition called “Lino, Lana, Seta, Oro” which will open July 29 until November in Turin at Palazzo Madama. It features an outstanding loan: a dress baiadera of Gianfranco Ferré completely embroidered in Swarovski crystals and canottiglie.

Palazzo Madama offers its audience to a new path of knowledge of the collections: exposing the hall Atelier a valuable choice of embroidery. There will be over sixty pieces of the collection, with a choice ranging from embroidery to clothes used during medieval sacred dances of the twenties, vibrant beads and glass beads.

The exhibition displays silk and gold embroidery, all the embroideries in white linen belonging to Swiss and German monasteries and colored wool for fabrics from furniture, coming from the area of Zurich and Schaffhausen from the 16th and 17th centuries.
