The ‘ Via dell’Amore ‘, the famous path overlooking the sea in the Cinque Terre Park connecting Riomaggiore and Manarola, has been nominated part of the cultural heritage by Minister Dario Franceschini.

While the document emphasizes the beauty of the trail in the context of the Cinque terre, it is worthy to remember that the place has been Unesco World Heritage site since 1997. This had happened thanks to the Mayor of Riomaggiore Franca Cantrigliani. From September 2012 the path has been closed due to a landslide during which some Australians were injured. A few months ago, 200 meters were reopened.
