Nutella Day
A jar is sold every 2.5 seconds

February 5 has been named the World Nutella Day in 2007 and, since then, each year, people love sharing their recipes with the most famous hazelnut chocolate spread.

Origins of Nutella date back to the Napoleonic wars in the 19th century, when Napoleon tried to stop the British commerce and the decision caused chocolate prices to go up as never before. Chocolatiers in Turin started adding chopped hazelnuts to chocolate to help the supply and the first gianduja chocolate was invented.

Nutella is part of the Ferrero family and its brand is recognized worldwide. In fact, one jar of Nutella is sold every 2.5 seconds, whereas there are some Nutella restaurants in cities like Bologna, Frankfurt, and New York.
