21-year-old Rachele Risaliti from Tuscany is the winner of the 2016 edition of beauty pageant Miss Italia. She hails from Prato, and studies Fashion Marketing Management at Polimoda, among the best international fashion schools, in Florence. She plans to enroll in a master’s program abroad to become a “fashion trend forecaster”. Her role model, she says, is Coco Chanel, “one of the most influential female figures of the 20th century.”
Rachele, who says she does not know who signed her up for the beauty contest and did not attend the first casting, loves sports, especially dancing and rhythmic gymnastics, which she practiced at a competitive level for 11 years and then abandoned for a knee problem. She is also passionate about fashion, painting and photography. She has a boyfriend.
With Rachele, Tuscany has won the title for the fifth time in the history of the competition, which began in 1946.
