For the second year in a row, Italy got the 50th spot in a United Nations world happiness poll published Wednesday. Denmark once more was at the top of the ranking.
Italy placed below countries like Uzbekistan, Malaysia and Nicaragua and was among the 10 countries with the biggest drop in happiness between 2005 and 2015. The report, by the UN’s Sustainable development solutions network, was based on the mark, from one to 10, given by people on their lives between 2013 and 2015 in 156 countries.
The average Italian mark for their lives was 5.9, above the poll’s median score of 5.1 but well below Denmark’s 7.5.
