Italy has remained a top tourism destination for visitors from across Europe, despite these long years of crisis. But it is also increasing the number of tourists coming from America, China and the Middle East. They still choose its unique concentration of art and monuments, museums and churches, history and culture, even before its wonderful seasides and enchanting mountains.

So that, in 2013, Rome is still a world top destination summing up centuries of architecture and delightful landmarks.
According to worldwide travellers’choice the Italian capital is one of the best places in the five continents where to spend holidays. But choice is much more wider than you expect.

Good quality of life, beautiful scenery and fabulous food and wine can be found even in the smallest towns or in the countryside. Surprisingly each bell tower hides its treasures.

Italy has almost 50 places inscribed in the Unesco world heritage list, more sites than any other country in the world.  Visiting a few of these sites on your travels or planning an itinerary around these places, can be a rewarding experience. Many of them are in top cities and towns but others are in places of natural beauty or off the beaten track locations as Venice, Florence or Naples are. Memorable cities but just an appetizer.

From North to South, from lakes, lagoons and islands to its over 8000 km of coasts, both rocky and sandy, what is properly called “Belpaese” (that means beautiful country) needs a good guide to help you plan your vacation. A useful suggestion not to miss sightseeing anything you can in your transcontinental voyage.

Especially because, during the summer, there is a triumph of festivals, open music, theater, opera concerts, pop singers and street artists, shows, folkloristic event almost in every city and place of vacation.

How to forget, then, popular or religious feasts that crowd streets and plazas of people, stands and local handicrafts, sweets and ice creams, lights, fireworks and the appetizing smell of typical products, sliced, offered or cooked to the moment and ready to eat walking up and down your way.

You can have the true taste of Italy (and Italians) simply choosing to spend some days in a country full of surprises and opportunities without spending too much neither to eat not to sleep.
