The new year starts in the spirit of tradition and innovation

While we were preparing for this last 2012 issue of L’Italo-Americano we looked back on the year with pride in all of our accomplishments.
We began 2012 with one platform – our traditional newspaper in its original physical form. We ended the year with the expansion of our mission with the addition of three new and successful multimedia platforms that include facebook, twitter and a new website.
We now reach out to thousands of readers on a daily basis and growing. That being said, it is true that 2012 was a year of transition and transformation for L’Italo-Americano. We laid the ground for our newspaper that cherishes and honors the past, while at the same time, uses the modern tools and media outlets that speak to a generation of Italian-Americans in the US that will share in the future of L’Italo-Americano.
There is so much during the holiday season to rejoice in! We at L’Italo-Americano look forward to celebrating the season with our friends and family and we wish all of our readers and contributors a relaxing and enjoyable holiday as well!

Il nuovo anno inizia all’insegna della tradizione e dell’innovazione
Mentre preparavamo l’ultima edizione de L‘Italo-Americano del 2012, abbiamo ripensato con orgoglio a tutti i traguardi raggiunti nel corso di quest’anno.
Abbiamo cominciato il 2012 con un unico formato – il nostro giornale tradizionale nella sua forma originale. Abbiamo concluso l’anno con l’evoluzione della nostra missione con l’aggiunta di tre nuovi formati multimediali che hanno riscosso successo e che includono facebook, twitter e un nuovo sito.
Ora raggiungiamo migliaia di lettori quotidianamente e questo numero sta ancora crescendo. Possiamo quindi dire che il 2012 è stato veramente un anno di transizione e trasformazione per L’Italo-Americano.
Abbiamo fatto in modo che il nostro giornale che ricorda con affetto e onora il passato usasse allo stesso tempo la stampa e gli strumenti moderni per rivolgersi anche a una generazione di italo-americani negli Stati Uniti che prenderà parte al futuro del giornale.
C’è così tanto di cui essere lieti in questo periodo natalizio! Noi a L’Italo-Americano celebreremo le festività con le nostre famiglie e i nostri amici e auguriamo anche ai nostri lettori e collaboratori una vacanza serena e rilassante.
