The Italian prime minister, Matteo Renzi, has announced that 60 million euros would be invested in order to complete the Teatro dell’Opera and another 40 million toward finishing the Grandi Uffizi project in Florence.
The funds for the opera house are needed to complete the underground part of the fly tower, enabling the theatre to manage up to three sets at the same time and fo the auditorium, artists’ dressing rooms and the parking area.
The 40 million euro for the Uffizi will be enough to complete the work and remove the cranes.
