Everybody would love to take an Educational Sabbatical Year. Who wouldn’t? You could have the possibility to spend an entire year traveling, visiting your favorite places and studying something interesting. All without working!

Only you can decide the appropriate timeframe to take your Sabbatical Year, but let me give you some advice about a few good places to go to. Italy is one of the most beautiful countries on Earth, we all agree about that. So, would not be a good idea to spend your Educational Sabbatical Year there? Do you think it is too complicated? It will be perfectly fine and also easy to plan.

So, let us say that you would like to live for one year in Italy: what city will you choose?

If you are the kind of person who loves fashion, art, history and, of course, good restaurants, your ideal place to take you Sabbatical Year will surely be Milan. In fact, it is a renomated city for its wonderful historical center, which is surrounded by the most famous fashion shops, excellent restaurants and bars.

Also, the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (USCS) is one of the best Italian universities, and it is located in an amazing historic area of Milan. It offers terrific one-year graduate programs, such as Master degrees in Economics and International Policies, International Cooperation and Development, and International Relations.

Also, you would be able to enroll into one of the numerous courses of the USCS Law School, such as Transnational Commercial Law, International Arbitration Law, International Law and Principles of Financial Regulation.

Otherwise, if you would prefer a more relaxed and medieval city, Bologna is definitely what you are looking for. Indeed, it is one of the most ancient cities in Italy. Also, the top-class University of Bologna (UB) offers the possibility to sign up for the Summer School of Italian Language and Culture: you would experience a whole summer into the beauty of Italian traditions and language. You will also be able to enroll into great single courses of the UB Law School throughout the full academic year and taking extremely interesting classes like Comparative Constitutional, European Union Law, Information Technology and Law and International Trade Law.


Furthermore, both Milan and Bologna are only a few hours away from Venice, Florence, Pisa and Rome, the magnificent Italian capital.

By the way, why do not you consider taking your Educational Sabbatical Year in Rome? You could enroll into the prestigious European Law School, which offers several Summer Schools in collaboration with La Sapienza University. Therefore, you could spend a whole year in one of the most famous city ever, studying International Law and enjoying the warm and traditional Southern Italian culture and cuisine.
