Italy’s Diana Bacosi wins shooting gold in women’s skeet, beating Chiara Cainero of Italy. They have marked the first one-two finish for Italy in Olympic shooting. Cainero went to the duel with her countrywoman after a perfect semi-final score of 16 out on the shotgun range in the hills outside Rio de Janeiro. But she missed two targets in the final round to Bacosi’s one.
Also the men’s team made up of Matteo Castaldo, Matteo Lodo, Domenico Montrone and Giuseppe Vicino finished third behind Britain and Australia after overtaking the South Africa team in the last 500 meters.
