The Pupazza Frascatana is a typical product of the town of Frascati: the word “pupazza” in Roman means doll but it also represents a reminiscence iconography of the goddess of abundance, with something extra: the third breast which does not produce milk but wine.

The legend refers to a midwife, a nurse who was holding in custody the children of women engaged in the harvest. This midwife was able to calm even the most restless and capricious children. Unlike other women, she used her breast with good wine of Frascati to calm them.

The pupazza is easy to make and the ingredients are typical basic flour 00, extra virgin olive oil, wildflower honey, and orange aroma.
