A group of international scientists are trying to work together and gather information about Leonardo Da Vinci and his work, in order to solve a long-time mystery and determine if bones presumed to belong to the famed Renaissance artist are in fact his.
The idea is to try to find Da Vinci’s DNA in work that he touched centuries age, which would allow more information and would become a method of analyzing paintings for their veracity. The project would be able to find DNA evidence from work by the creator of the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper to see if they can match it with other genetic material.
