L’Italo-Americano would like to thank all of the generous donators who made contributions to the relief efforts after the Emilia Romagna earthquake in Italy on May 20, 2012. Specifically, thanks to their unwavering solidarity and their dedication to the Italian people, a total of $19,189.20 in relief funds were collected since this disaster occurred. We also thank the Italian Consulate General in Los Angeless and the Italian Institute of Culture for their hard work and dedication in a partnership that successfully promoted a campaign to raise awareness and money for the cause which included a wonderful charity dinner attended by more than 150 donors.
We would also like to acknowledge IACCW, Enit Italia, Italian Trade Commission and Com.it.es for participating in this effort.
Additionally, we are pleased to inform our readers that the relief funds have already been distributed to the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara, a historical centre of culture in Emilia Romagna, which was chosen together with the Foreign Ministry of Italy because of how severely hit it was by these seismic events.
