A Study Showed Italians spend 2,000 euros Per Year On Inviting With Friends Over
The Sunday Lunch (Ph: davidaola)
A study run by Milan Chamber of Commerce for the HOMI international trade fair for interior design and upscale home decor has shown that Italians invite friends over  once every three weeks for lunch or dinner and they spend about 2,000 euros per year.

The 44% of people prefer to invite friends and relatives to their house, “because they think this is the best for socializing”, while 30% prefer to meet outside of their homes. The research also proved that the reasons include the quality of the food served, the company itself, and good conversation.

Some 42% said that a particular detail – how a table is laid, napkins, plates and candles, for example – was important, while others states that all the details must be perfect.
