If the first weekend of December marked the arrival of a cold winter season in San Francisco, the Italian Christmas Market that took place at the Museo ItaloAmericano brought the warm atmosphere of the traditional Mercato di Natale.
The first edition of the Italian Christmas Market, organized by DIVE (Donne Italiane che Vivono all’Estero), a group of Italian women expats living in the San Francisco Bay Area and Enjoy Silicon Valley, a local community for European expats living in Silicon Valley was held last Saturday and Sunday, December 7th  and 8th.
Inspired by the famous Christmas markets in Northern Italy and throughout most of Europe, this event recreated the cordial atmosphere of artisan marketplaces. In addition to a special Christmas experience, the visitor could enjoy the exclusive opportunity to be surrounded by beautiful works of art in the Museo Italo Americano in San Francisco.
For the joy of all those looking for original Christmas presents for family and friends, the Mercato di Natale showcased  many unique craft items all made by Italian artisans—items such as handcrafted Italian foods, handmade jewelry, Italian fashion accessories, Italian language books for children and much more.
