Convivio Center, a gathering place where residents and visitors are invited to explore the art, culture and history of San Diego’s Italian community, welcomed Luca Forte, Director of Castellani Wines USA to Convivio on Friday evening November 15th.
Guests will be introduced to six Tuscan varietals during their wine tasting, an experience enhanced by a conversation with Mr. Forte, who will walk them through the cultivation process for each of Castellani’s signature Tuscan varietals. Savory appetizers, prepared by Chef Giuseppe Monaco, Executive Chef of Cucina Caprese, will round out this distinctive culinary celebration.
Hosted by Mission Wine Company, the Castellani wine tasting will precede a cabaret performance by Italian tenor Rosario Monetti. Rosario will take his audience on a sentimental journey through Italian and American musical classics ranging from Rat Pack tunes to Neapolitan melodies. Accompanied on the piano by Jim Bianchi and Dan Ochipinti on drums, Rosario delivers a fresh take on the songbook of our lives. Appetizers, dessert and coffee will round out the event.
