Rio 2016: Niccolò Campriani (Men's 10m air rifle) Wins Gold, Tania Cagnotto (Diving) Gets a Bronze

Niccolo Campriani, the Italian competing in shooting at Rio 2016, wins his second medal of Rio as he defends his 2012 gold medal in the 50m rifle 3 position event. The 28-year-old Italian led after both the kneeling phase and the prone phase. During the standing portion of the event, Campriani and silver medalist Sergey Kamenskiy traded the lead. 

Tania Cagnotto, who had finished in fourth in both the individual and synchronized three meter springboard events in London four years ago and fifth in the individual event in Beijing, finally got a bronze medal  in the women’s three meter individual springboard event, adding to a silver she won in the synchronized event last week. Cagnotto, 31, has also announced she will retire after the Olympics.
