According to ANSA, visitors arriving to Milan by trains and planes will be greeted at key entry points with billboards, welcoming them to the “capital of the aperitivo”, to use its proper Italian name.
Campari, the leading brand of the Davide Campari-Milano SpA group wants to make sure that every foreigner who comes to Milan for the Expo gets a taste of the red drink. The company, Italy Managing Director Francesco Cruciani told ANSA that Expo is “an incredible and unique opportunity to bring millions of people to the city where the aperitivo was born. This is a wonderful way to enjoy a drink – very Italian, very Mediterranean – and we hope people will bring this culture back to their homes once they leave”.
