Genoa's Aquarium
Watching dolphins at Genoa's Aquarium

The Acquario di Genova is the largest aquarium in Italy, the second largest in Europe after the one in Valencia, Spain, and the 9th in the entire world!

Located in the Ponte Spinola quarter, it has the beautiful backdrop of the Old Port, built in the 1500s, which makes a visit to the aquarium even more fascinating. Inaugurated in 1992, it welcomes about 1.2 million visitors every year and takes about 2 to 3 hours to visit. Needless to say, it’s a favorite with children and water enthusiasts of all ages.
