This weekend, Brescia will host the famous Mille Miglia vintage car race which re-enacts of the long distance race which took place in Italy between 1927 and 1954.

As the participation is limited to cars manufactured before 1957, and including only models that participated in the original race, the historical re-enactment involves some 430 teams representing over thirty countries across all the continents of the world.

The Mille Miglia takes place over 3 days, in a non-stop round trip from Brescia to Rome, passing through a number of Italian locations steeped in history and rich in artistic, architectural and natural beauty.

The race attracts thousands of fans from around the world, especially during the inspection of the cars, which is carried out in the historic streets and squares of Brescia. Fans have the opportunity to meet the participants like Formula One champions, celebrities and sports personalities. The most fascinating cars in the race include AlfaRomeo, Lancia, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Fiat, Audi, BMW, Bugatti, Maserati and Aston Martin, driven by classic car fans and belonging to collectors or taken from the museums of the major manufacturers.
